Getting Ready for Baby...

While sitting around waiting for this baby to decide to show up, we have been trying to prepare.

We have been wrapping up all our dolls/animals/trucks and feeding them, bathing them, and putting them to sleep.

(This is a little dark, but you can hear how loud Robbie likes to sing Lullaby songs)

We have been practicing reading to the baby.

We have perfected the art of covering the baby with no less than 8 blankets to keep warm (daddy was a good substitute).

We talk to all babies we come around, and try not to sit on them.

And we are still practicing being quiet when the baby is sleeping.  Maybe that is why the baby is taking so long to come, it is worried about all the noise!

Backyard Picnics

We have been enjoying the good weather the last few weekends by having picnics in our backyard.  It really isn't a "yard", exactly, but the kids don't know the difference.

We call these donut hamburgers.  We got them at Costco and didn't realize how strange they were until we put them on the grill.  They just need sprinkles.

We even whipped out the Turtle pool for Memorial Day as it was blazing hot.
Vive the Summer!

Tram

We finally took the Tram over to Roosevelt Island, a small island parallel to Manhattan.  It been our our NYC bucket list for 5.5 years.

We were one day early for the Cherry Blossom Festival.

And we finally flew kites while we were there.  Emmi has been asking for a long time.

We headed back to Manhattan and found a Middle Eastern dinner.  Another first:  Emmi ordered (and partially ate) a salad.  That is BIG news!
