Well...where have we vanished to, you ask? Unfortunately, we have had a few computer problems as of late. This has kept us from blogging in our usual frequent manner (ha ha). So we are looking for a replacement computer and we have found ourselves asking that age-old question...PC or Mac? We know this debate can get pretty heated, with families being ripped apart, and people throwing gigahertz at each other. So what do you think? PC, or Mac?

The Great Outdoors...smells better than the City!
As some of you may know, Jay is going on a six-day canoe trip in the Adirondacks with his scouts this next week. He has spent hours of preparation and planning to get ready. One of his favorite new camping supplies is this little extremely lightweight stove we tried out in our living room first.
A couple weeks ago, we decided to go on a weekend trip to map out the canoe route and spend some time in fresh air and under the stars.
Our journey started just trying to get to Newark airport where we had a car rental (it was MUCH cheaper than renting in the City...although it took 5 hours to get there!)
We next had to get some supplies. So while we were in New Jersey, we went to "Campers Paradise" ... or 'Campmor' as it is more commonly known.
Finally! We made it to the Adirondack State Park! Jay trying out his stove and new pot.
They have an impressive museum there with GREAT exhibits (you would love it, Rach)...which we enjoyed, especially since it was pouring rain!
Hunter's Cabin
We never made it to the town of Jay (which is within the park border), but we did enjoy this sign. We should get it for our kitchen.
Finally when the sun came out, and we were able to check out some of the spots Jay would be canoeing. Nice, eh?
The canoes usually go down the waterfall area on the left. Hope Jay doesn't lose one of his scouts! Just kidding...they will also be portaging.
What a beautiful place these Adirondacks are!
We went on a hike to a beautiful vista over a green valley.
We had a cliff jumping contest, and I obviously won! Jay accuses me of taking photos that we would not normally take, just to put them on the blog. Now why would he say a thing like that?
This does not give credit to how pretty this lake was.
We were not able to see any stars since it was raining both nights. That didn't stop Jay from starting a killer fire. What did we kill? Some Pop-tart S'mores.
