A Frosty New Year's Eve

December 31st was cold here in NYC.
We decided to go check out the people lining up in Times Square since we live so close. We left about 7:30 pm dressed like snowmen and soon we found ourselves swept up in a crowd headed as close as possible to the ball and TV cameras.

We got as far as 55th street, and had a nice little spot under the heating lamps at the above hotel. But around 8:30, we realized 3.5 hours in 15 degrees with a little babe and anxious crowd didn't sound so fun, so we snapped a couple pictures and made our way home. Yes, we are wimps.

We drank hot chocolate, watched movies, and switched just in time to see the ball drop (was is just me, or was the show really lame this year?). With a little kiss from the two I love, and Hooray for 2009!

On New Year's Day, we finally finished opening our Christmas presents!

Many people say 2008 was a bad year and they are glad to see it end. I had a great 2008, mostly for one big reason...

Have a happy and prosperous and healthy and joyous and thankful New Year!

Love the last picture. Looks like you had fun at New Years...we were watching from SLC--just not the same!
