We are still alive

We finally got our internet fixed last night after a couple weeks of a really poor signal. Funny how dependent we on on this thing that wasn't even around when I was a kid. Man, I guess I am old.

Things have been plenty busy around here, but the kids are sick today and we stayed home from Church, so I had a little more time than planned. Maybe I will catch up, although it has been months!
"Let me esplane, no let me sum up"

Last Sunday, the New York Marathon ran (literally) right by our new apartment. It was fun when the kids went down and cheered. (It was NOT fun to try to cross the marathon twice in the peak of the race to get to Church. At least we didn't trip any runners, although some were very unhappy).

We were right at mile 19 where a cheering station was, so the kids made signs and got hats. The handi-capped went first, and they were amazing. Emmi and Robbie cheered and I cried. Check this guy out, so inspiring!

Then the elite ladies. This chick kept a huge lead until the last couple miles. 5 minute miles! I can't even sprint that once.

We had a lot of fun, and Emmi loved it so much, she asked for the next couple days if we could go yell at the runners. Right now as I type, they have their signs out, "tending" to cheer.
