Camping in PR

Ok, we really didn't camp in Puerto Rico, but back in July we borrowed a friends car and drove to the nearest campsite outside of Manhattan. We might have been the only ones without a PR flag.

It was the kids first camping trip, so we lived it up... we swam in the lake (Emmi makes it look like she was doing some deep sea diving), roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, ate s'mores, and went on a nature walk.

Poor Robbie. He just wanted to dive into the fire or eat rocks, so he got locked up, although he didn't seem to mind.

Emmi thought it was too messy. Must be related to Jay...

After arising very early, we folded up camp and went on a 4 mile hike to a lookout. And we found some surprises along the way.

And I really don't know what this has to do with it, but somehow Jay teaching his boy about meat ended up here.

How fun! It is hard to take a 1 year old camping. Too many things that they want to eat and really shouldn't! You need to come to Wenatchee for some more awesome outdoor adventures!
