Baby Ballerina

I know this is a little late, but Emmilene had a fun  first Halloween.

She wanted to stay up late the night before and help her dad carve the pumpkin, but she didn't like the squishy stuff.

Jay was going to go for scary, but he chose something sweet instead.
Any guesses as to who it is?

Meanwhile, I worked on sewing my first costume.  With a little advice from my mom and sister, the tutu turned out pretty good... as long as you didn't look too closely at the stitching.

Emmi was a little shy at first in being a ballerina, but she was very excited to go to the park and see her friends.

All her buddies (notice there is only one other girl).

Em and our friend Amy.

That night, we waited for dad to come home and then lit the pumpkin.

We walked to a street nearby that goes all out for Halloween.  There were decorations and candy and haunted houses and lots of costumes.  There was even a "Saloon" where a group of people sang all night to guests.  Emmilene's favorite was the giant falling spider, and the batman who actually climbed down a 5 story building.

You had to be a little aggressive to get the candy, and Emmilene just didn't have it in her.
She was just too tired.

But we will practice for next year!

Love her costume, but I thought you might have dressed her as a nurse? Oh well, there is always next year! What size is she up to now? Have a wonderful birthday old lady! Love Cindy ;)

So adorable! Jay is a real artist with that pumpkin. What a fun halloween. Can't wait to see you, and happy early birthday!

Wow, those are great odds for Emmi, what is it 15 boys and two girls :) Odds almost as good as when we moved into the McCammon ward...weren't you the only girl with almost 20 guys?
