Trana

"Trana" is how the natives say the word, "Toronto". We spent just a couple days here trying to see as much as we could at the leisurely pace of a one year-old.

We visited Casa Loma, the gigantic and ostentatious estate of a prominent Canadian military man, Sir Henry Pellatt. He built it in 1911 and didn't live there long before financial ruin turned him out on his tuckus.

Chinatown, where Emmilene mastered chop sticks (kinda).

The most visible (and olfactory) evidence of the strike:

We visited the Ontario Science Center, where the children's floor was rockin'!

Emmi is a ruthless shopper.... get out of her way, or she will take you out!

The coolest thing there was a machine that took your picture, and then formed it out of BUBBLES as they float up in small pipes.

This is as close as we got to the Riverdale Farm. Dang that strike!

We did venture up the CN Tower.

Soooo glad you spent some time in Toronto! I heard an actress say "Tor-on-to" in a trailer...made me laugh...obviously SOMEONE didn't mention the "native pronunciation". BUT...I agree with Sara...your expeditions are sooo fun to read! Keep on EXPEDITING...hah!

Sure looks a lot more exciting than little Logan. But then we never have strikes here.
Wages are so low, that a strike wouldn't help much!
