You may not know it, but Jay and I live double lives.
Once a month, we go out pretending to be someone else, and we actually get a free meal out of it. We do secret reviews for restaurants here in the city, usually places that are a little out of the budget range (sounds exciting and dangerous, no?)
A couple nights ago, we went to a prestigous establishment, we shall call restaurant "B", and we were instructed by our superiors to say it was our anniversary when we made our reservation. Before we went in, we made up a whole story of our May wedding ... just in case they asked ... which they didn't.
It was fun, though, and the food was delicioso!
We went for a water theme, and ordered shrimp, soft-shelled crab, and even tried frog legs (above on the left). Not bad, actually.
They even decorated our dessert to help us celebrate. How sweet, they remembered!
(Don't I look like a little butterball? 36 weeks, baby!)
Jay called it our last supper because we don't know that our superiors will allow us to bring a third party, especially one that only drinks milk and throws up often. Oh well ... Living the double life was fun while it lasted.
Happy anniversary to us.

Ohhhh... so much fun! The food looks awesome. Were you at Brasserie? I did one of these once and I felt very dangerous (in a good way) pretending to be someone I wasn't.
This sounds like a great double life ... I should look into this!!
