Barcelona

We left Emmilene in the good hands of Eve (and her mom, Tricia) and went out exploring Barcelona like a couple of honeymooners.

We walked to two famous Gothic Churches, first the Santa Maria del Mar built in the 1300s and rather simple but grand.

Jay made me stand by an old knotty tree.

And this is the Barcelona Cathedral, much more ornate and where Christopher Columbus brought back 10 natives to be baptized (I think).

Las Ramblas! The famous street was lovely and the street performers put our NY ones to shame. We didn't get very good pictures of them because Jay was afraid they would chase us down for money.

We walked right through a protest outside a bank. There was a fleet of armored police and some people wearing funky hairstyles.
We decided not to get money from this ATM.

We wanted some good authentic food, and our recommenders sent us to a restaurant specializing in Paella.
Yum.

The store owner loved Emmilene so much he took her to the dance floor. He asked us to send him a copy of the below photo as he wants to hang it up to let people know the restaurant is "family friendly".
